Inspiration board…A purple tartan wedding

Our March bride Emma is marrying her lovely Scottish fiancee Derek. The bride and groom wanted to incorporate some of his Scottish heritage without going for a full on tartan overload!

Derek’s family tartan is Pride of Scotland which is a gorgeous mix of deep purple and royal blue. Emma decided on the bridesmaid dresses before anything else after getting inspiration from this gorgeous design by Emma Tindley. The fabric has a two tone effect of a purpley pink and petrol blue mixed with the tartan for a quirky edge.

Ribbon was ordered to incorporate into the gorgeous Tiffany invitation designs by Stephanie Short and also to wrap around the simple 3 tier wedding cake which is being made by Emma’s aunt.

The bridal bouquet will be a simple mix of purple tulips and white gypsophilia with bridesmaid bouquets to match.

Table centrepieces will be glass vases filled with purple hydrangea heads.

The two young page boys will be wearing their cute little purple converse to ensure they tie in with the theme!

We also don’t want to spoil the surprise by printing a picture but the bride’s shoes are fabulous!

Come back after the wedding for a look at the pictures from the big day!

If you need any advice or assistance with your planning just give us a shout. We don’t bite and we’d love to be a part of your big day too!
