Living in England means that, just because you book an August wedding doesn’t mean that you will be guaranteed sunshine! If you are going to have rain you may as well look as fab as possible sheltering from it……So, step up Loveumbrellas……

Tell us a little bit about yourself…..

I’m Klair from Love Umbrellas and we are based in Manchester, we’ve been running for approx 2 months, and supply customised umbrellas to suit weddings, festivals, or if you just want to look fab, even in the rain!! I am also a first time Mummy to 8 month old Charlie.

How did your business begin?

I was just so used to getting soaked in the rain, and thought that everyone looks miserable when it rains with their plain black umbrellas, and the rain seemed to really dampen everyone’s spirit, as well as their hair… So Love Umbrellas was born – ‘we don’t care if it’s raining, we still look fab’!!

How did you come up with the name?

I don’t think I’d ever heard that I’d heard anyone say they loved rain, or loved their umbrella, so LoveUmbrellas came about.

Do you make bespoke designs?

Yes, generally Edwardian style umbrellas/sun shades made to match your colour scheme.

What is your top wedding tip for couples?

Prepare for EVERY eventuality, especially rain!!

What is your absolute favourite thing to do?

Go for a picnic in the park.

Tell us something unusual about yourself.

I have swam with dolphins, rode an elephant on a mud track, kayak-ed down the River Kwai, been humpback whale spotting on the Great Barrier Reef, been camel riding in Dubai and spent 12 hours on a coach journey in Laos listening to Michael Jackson’s ‘Billy Jean’ for 12 hours CONSTANTLY!!

What is the most unhealthy thing in your fridge at the moment?

A bottle of non-alcoholic beer – Rock and Roll!!
