Venue spotlight……En’Haeusl..the worlds smallest hotel

If a small intimate wedding is what you’re after then look no further than the 5 star En’Haeusl Hotel in Amberg, Germany.

This adorably cute little hotel measures just 2.5 metres wide, has a floor space of just 53 sq/m and can accommodate just one couple at a time!

The teeny hotel stretches over 7 narrow floors and has all the amenities you need from flat screen tv’s to a mini spa.

The house was originally built in 1728 after the city council ruled that in order to get married, couples should own property. The house was so small and so cheap that even the most poor people could afford to buy it. The idea behind it was that the couple would then sell it on to the next loved up couple.

With a different newlywed couple as occupants every few weeks, it became known as Eh’haeusl — or ‘the Wedding House’. The hotel is owned by Marina Schreiner. She says that “People who stay here will live happily ever after and never get divorced – it’s an old legend told by the locals of the town and we are keeping it strong.”

How romantic and what a lovely story to tell your future children and grandchildren!
